Athletic Training
An athletic trainer (AT) is a healthcare professional specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of muscle and bone injuries and illnesses. They work closely with athletes to develop personalized training programs aimed at injury prevention and performance enhancement. Athletic trainers are proficient in emergency care, rehabilitation protocols, and therapeutic interventions, often collaborating with physicians to ensure comprehensive medical care. In addition to their technical skills, they educate athletes on safe practices and provide emotional support, helping individuals to safely resume activities and achieve their fitness goals.
